Dr. Karm Virk, DC

As a lifelong athlete, Dr. Virk became interested in a Chiropractic career through the experience of being a Chiropractic patient. Having had numerous athletic injuries including 13 broken bones, disc herniations, and too many sprains to list, he has had most all types of medical treatment. However, from an early age, he has always wanted to do it naturally without the use of drugs. He was in the Kinesiology (Sports Medicine) program at college and was planning on becoming a Sports Medicine Doctor or Physical Therapist. He remembers that his mother once asked him how he would be able to prescribe medications as a medical Doctor when he would never take any himself.

It was when he was trying out for the Canada Games Volleyball team, that he was injured in a Motor Vehicle Accident. He not only missed out on the opportunity to be on the team but was miserable for months with traditional medical treatments not helping. This led him to see his mother’s Chiropractor, but somewhat reluctantly. After the first adjustment, it changed his life forever. Not only did he feel so much better than he had in some time he also started to see healthcare in a different light.

Through the lens of being a Chiropractic patient, he saw incredible results with his sports injuries, overall health, movement, and athletic performance. He had found the perfect healthcare model that helped people get better without drugs and surgery. Dr. Virk was an Athletic Trainer in College and worked as an Ambulance attendant in the summers. Has always had an interest in helping people and this experience changed his life. Dr. Virk has devoted himself to sharing the importance of Chiropractic care and spinal health, wanting to give others the life-changing care he received.

Dr. Virk went on to get his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College, in Saint Lous MO. He has complemented his studies throughout the years in spinal decompression, auto injuries, and sports Chiropractic, as well as attending the first-ever pediatric Chiropractic conference in the early 90s. Dr. Virk has been practicing chiropractic for 30 years. Practicing in Alabama for a few years before coming to the state of Washington.
